Custer's Gold

Custer's Gold was published in the fall of 2014 and was John's first foray into fiction. The novel is narrated by Edward Jordan and, besides the story of the actual Yellowstone surveys and Indian fighting, John has added a lot of stolen gold and sex. This is a fun book, more of abeach book than Tolstoy, but it tells the Northern Pacific's story in a way that straight history simply cannot. To John, his wife's and just about everyone else's surprise the book has been getting outstanding reviews (check out Amazon). It has 404 pages with maps and a special appendix.
